Dr. Caucci is a senior Physical Therapist and co-owner of Conshohocken Physical Therapy. She graduated from Arcadia University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Minor in Spanish. In 2002, she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. Arcadia maintains a prestigious national reputation in the field of physical therapy, ranking as one of the top in the nation.
Dr. Caucci’s passion for learning did not end after graduation. Over her career, she has completed numerous continuing education courses to further develop her skills in manual therapy, evaluation, assessment, treatment interventions and to become certified in administering FCEs. She also has gained extensive knowledge and experience with myofascial release through direct manual therapy in the clinic in addition to attending myofascial release continuing education courses. Some of her completed coursework includes: Vestibular Rehabilitation, Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars for evaluation and treatment of the spine, peripheral joints, sacroiliac joint and pelvis, Mark Asanovich Evidence Based Strength and Conditioning, Pain, Brain, Body & Science: The Evaluation and Practice of Brain Re-training Treatments, Myofascial Release, Ergo Science Physical Work Performance Evaluation, Tools to Fight Back Against Spine & Cumulative Trauma Disorders and Advance Techniques for the Foot, Ankle, Knee and Shoulder.
In 2008, Dr. Caucci had the honor of being named one of the Top 3 Physical Therapists in the Nation by Advance Magazine; this is an annual award voted on by a number of her peers. In 2010, she was awarded a Dorland Health People Award at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. The Dorland Health People Awards program fixes its spotlight on the individual practitioner by recognizing healthcare professionals who are making a difference in transitioning the patient through the complicated healthcare landscape. Additionally, she has played an integral part in Conshohocken Physical Therapy being named one of the “Top 4 Practices in the Nation” by Advance Magazine (2012) and the “Best PT Practice” in Montgomery County multiple times.
With a desire to promote physical therapy, health and wellness to all people, Desirea was the driving force behind the creation of an injury prevention iPad application called “Motion Doctor”. The iPad application was designed for consumers who are currently healthy and not experiencing physical pain. The Motion Doctor can also be used by Physical Therapists to show patients how to do exercises at home with a visual reference.
